VORTEX

An experiment on  Grasshopper for Rhino to generate a parametric responsive form that is capable of changing its geometry and responding to the movement of external attractors, while the form parameters can fluctuate to change the height, shape, radius and twisting factor of the form. In addition an external lattice structure has been created as an attempt to visualize the underlying structural pattern of the geometry skin. By manipulating the parameters of the form and position of attractors, one can increase/decrease the geometry’level of complexity, and easily harmonize the emergent form. By responding to both change in its parameters (radius, Height, twisting factor, subdivision number, cladding extrusion size) and the movements of the external attractors, the model results in different visually striking forms, eventually looking like a vortex.
